Medication of any kind, prescription or over-the-counter, cannot be brought to school by a child. Medication should be delivered to
school in a pharmacy or manufacturer-labeled container by a parent or a responsible adult.
When medication must be given in school, please contact your school nurse to be advised of the proper procedure. The same procedure
will be followed from grades K-12. No over-the-counter medicine will be given in school that does not come from home with a note
from the parent. Prescription medications are given by the nurse or designated person only if they are sent in their properly labeled
container and with a note from the parent.
Prescription medication requires the following:
1) signed Medication Order from physician
2) signed Administration Plan/Parent Consent form
3) No more than a thirty-day supply of medication should be delivered to the school
