Here at the West school we are very busy experimenting and creating!  Upon entering the art room, students participate in a modified center based program.  This type of program lends itself well to a multitude of learning styles and abilities.  On a weekly basis, students are learning valuable and age appropriate concepts that comply with the Massachusetts Visual Arts Frameworks.   Along with traditional lessons and assignments,  students are responsible for designing, implementing and assessing their own artwork. Proper maintenance and clean up of supplies is also part of this program. 

Not only are your students learning the basics and fundamentals of art, but they are also gaining valuable experiences through thoughtful and imaginative explorations.  Please take a peek at some of the creative masterpieces created here at the West school.
