Matt Bernstein Head Coach (3rd Year) Cell: 339-364-0405
Coach Bernstein is a former SHS Boys Soccer four year varsity player. During his career playing as a member of the boys high school soccer team, Coach Bernstein was named Team MVP, co-leading the Hockomock League in overall points in 2001. He was also named Hockomock League All-Star and Eastern Mass All- Star. During his college career, Coach Bernstein attended Plymouth State where he played one year for the Panthers. After transferring to Bridgewater State College, Coach Bernstein played for the Bears from 2003-2005 and was named MASCAC All-Star team as a defender in 2003. Throughout his soccer career for the Bears, Coach Bernstein was named MASCAC All-Academic Team - 3.20 or Higher G.P.A from 2003-2005. Coach Bernstein was involved in guiding his team to a berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament, the
program's first NCAA bid since the 1990 season. The Bears advanced to the second round of the NCAAs before ending the season with a record of 12-7-2. As a member of the 2004 Bears, the team picked up their first ever NCAA tournament victory and won the MASCAC tournament championship for the first time in school history.
Coach Bernstein graduated from Bridgewater State College in 2007 with a BS in Physical Education. He holds membership in the Eastern Mass Association as well as the NSCAA and NFHS. Coach Bernstein also holds his Mass Youth G, F certifications. He is certified as a strength and conditioning coach through Bigger, Faster, Stronger. Coach Bernstein has been involved in coaching at the youth level. At the youth level, he coached boys U12 and girls U10 for Stoughton Youth Soccer in 2004-2005. After coaching for the youth program, Coach Bernstein went on to coach the boys Stoughton High School junior varsity soccer team for two seasons. With the development of the OMS Soccer Club back in the winter of 2010, coach Bernstein has created a program to prepare both boys and girls in grades 6-8 for high school soccer.

Ruben Teixeira
JV Coach (1st Year)
Coach Teixeira is entering his 1st season as the boys JV coach. He is coming off his 2nd season on the Canton High School coaching staff, where he was head of the JV program.
Coach Teixeira owns an extensive playing background, having trained at youth level in Portugal with a professional soccer club Amora Futebol Clube to go along with his vast playing experience here in the United States. He has coached premier club teams for over 8 years and brings highly coaching experience to the Black Knights.
Coach Teixeira has received several coaching licenses and diplomas including his NSCAA National Diploma, USSF National “D” License, NSCAA High School Coaches Diploma, NSCAA Advanced Youth Diploma, and the NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma.
Most recently, Teixeira has been a Staff Coach at NEFC a premier club based on the MetroWest region. He is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and the United States Soccer Coaches Organization.
