Morning Announcers
Each morning, at approximately 7:30ish, a team of announcers occupy the news studio to provide the OMS Middle School with all of the news of the day, week, and month. The show is called the "Knightly" News. Teachers and staff provide the team with important announcements to be read on air. Each day starts with the "Pledge of Allegiance" and a moment of silence. Facts taken from "This Day in History" are read from sites such as History Channel and On This Day.com. Sometimes silly jokes are told, or science facts are given. Occasionally, there will be a "quote of the day." There are times when we show Public Service Announcements or important videos to view.
"Birthday Shout Outs" are a fun way to say happy birthday to a friend or teacher. The cost is 50 cents per wish, and all proceeds go to the Student Council.
SCOOP REPORTERS
After school on Tuesday a group of students meet and write articles for our own newspaper. So many great things happen here at this middle school, we need to share the happenings here!
